NPCIL Recruitment 2023 Eligibility

Nurse/A (Male / Female):

  • XII Standard & Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3 years course) OR
  • B.Sc Nursing OR
  • Nursing Certificate with 3 years experience in Hospital;
  • Nursing Assistant Class III & above from the Armed forces

Pathology Lab Technician (Scientific Assistant/B):

  • B. Sc. With minimum 50% marks + one-year Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology (D.M.L.T) with 60% marks OR
  • B. Sc in Medical Lab. Technology (M.L.T.) with 60% marks.

Pharmacist/B:

  • H.S.C. (10+2) + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.

Stipendiary Trainee – Dental Technician (Mechanics):

  • H.S.C.(Science) with 60% marks + 2 years Diploma in Dental Technician (Mechanics) recognized by the Dental Council of India.

X-Ray Technician Technician/C:

  • H.S.C. (10+2) in Science with minimum 60% marks + One-year Medical Radiography / X-Ray Technique Trade Certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification.

Stipendiary Trainee / Technician (ST/TN) (Cat-II) Plant Operator:

  • HSC (10+2) or ISC in Science streams (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.

Stipendiary Trainee Technician (ST/TN) (Cat-II) Maintainer:

  • SSC with a minimum 50% in Science subject(s) and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate in relevant trade.
  • For trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates shall have at least one-year of relevant working experience after completion of the course.
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.

Selection Process for NPCIL Recruitment 2023

Stipendiary Trainee/ Technician (ST/TN) (Category-II) Plant Operator:

  • The written examination will be an OMR-based or Computer Based Test (CBT).

For Other Posts:

  • Written Examination + Skill Test The written examination will be an OMR-based or Computer Based Test (CBT).

NPCIL Recruitment 2023 Written Exam:

Stage-1 – Preliminary Test:

  • It will be a screening examination to be held to shortlist candidates.
  • 03 (Three) marks are to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark is to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The format of the screening examination shall be common and will be in the following format:
  • The examination will comprise of 50 multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion.
Mathematics 20 Questions
Science 20 Questions
General Awareness 10 Questions

Stage-2 – Advanced Test

  • All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test in their respective trade applicable for the post.
  • The Test will be 02 (two) hours in duration.
  • The level of questions for Plant Operator Trainees (Category-II) will be based on the syllabus in HSC or ISC and for other Category-II(Maintainer) Trainees, the same will be in their respective ITI trades.
  • The level of questions for para-medical posts will be based on the syllabus related to their qualifying academic/professional/technical qualification.
  • The Test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Stage 3: Skill Test – (not applicable for ST/TN – Plant Operator)

  • Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates in each trade will be shortlisted for the Skill Test.
  • The skill test will be of qualifying nature only on Go / No Go basis.
  • The number of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test would depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage-2 but should not exceed 5 times the number of vacancies for each post.
  • Candidates clearing the Skill Test are to be shortlisted and impaneled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.
